My vacation week has had an unexpected soundtrack. Bruce Springsteen's new project "We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions" released this past Tuesday. I bought it after hearing some samples of it online. It's a folk record dedicated to songs associated with Pete Seeger. The Boss wanted an authentic hootenanny sound and that's exactly what he got. If you can get past his gritty, drawl-soaked vocals, it's a really nice record.
