Yes, Virginia, there really is an easy-listening version of "Friends In Low Places." I have Floyd Cramer's rendition on a mix CD that I threw in the CD player on the way to work today. I don't know if his tongue was in his cheek or not, but it is good for a chuckle. Slightly more ironic is its position on the CD after Ray Stevens' "Everything Is Beautiful." My taste in music runs slightly off the beaten path sometimes.
